As my youngsters have grown, we’ve been lucky to always have somebody who was in requirement of the mattresses as well as bed frames they were leaving behind. (In fact, just last month, our old young child beds were chosen up by a couple who was adopting five children!)  If that wasn’t the case, however, I believe holding on to the crib mattress to utilize for a reading nook is a dazzling move.
